Introduction

The purpose of this section is to review a number of girdles readily available today. It is designed to give you an idea of what each girdle is all about concerning firmness, physical dimensions, durability, and comfort. I also describe what alterations were needed to make the girdle comfortable for me. In fact, nearly all comments except physical dimensions are from my experiences and point of view and should be taken with a grain of salt. Hopefully, this section will help you choose (or reject) garments that are of interest to you.

Before you start perusing this Product Review, please ensure you are familiar with the acronyms and terms listed in the table at the bottom of this page. The Rago sizing chart is also included and will be referred to from time to time; for example, Custom Maid does not follow the Rago sizing chart at all, and you need to know this.

Test Criterion

• Each girdle was worn at least 12 hours straight (if possible)
• Activities while wearing the girdles included:
  • squatting
  • kneeling
  • sitting at a desk/computer for several hours
  • standing and walking
  • getting into or out of a vehicle at least 6 times
• Using a ruler, I tried to scientifically determine the amount of leg creep in each girdle, but results were too variable for an objective report. Hence, leg creep is described from a subjective point of view using the terms minimal, moderate, average, above average, etc.
